Since September, Canolfan Arad Goch has caught the eye of many on Bath Street, thanks to a new piece of art by the blacksmith Ann Catrin Evans. The piece is placed just above the entrance to the building, encouraging visitors to enter.
On Saturday, March 14th, the blacksmith will return to Canolfan Arad Goch for a special workshop for adults and children.
Come and work with the famous blacksmith Ann Catrin Evans in this metalwork workshop. Here’s an opportunity for a child and parent or adult to create together – and you get to keep the creation at the end.
This special workshop takes an hour and a half and one session will start at 10:00 and the second session at 12:15. The workshop costs £20 (adult and child) and places must be booked beforehand through contacting Arad Goch on 01970617998 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
But, the connection between Ann Catrin and Canolfan Arad Goch goes back further than September. Ann Catrin’s iconic metalwork has been a part of Canolfan Arad Goch ever since being opened to the public in 2007.
The new art work on the outside of the building is based on that original work inside the building.
