Inside - Outside

Arad Goch Theatre Company intends to tour the primary schools of Powys during the autumn to perform, if the COVID-19 situations allows. The project has been funded by Building a Healthier Wales following a succesful joint application by Dyfed Powys Police and ourselves.

INSIDE – OUTSIDE is the story of 3 friends, how they treat each other, their friendships and their relationships. The drama is based on our practical and creative research in schools in Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion into what concerns the pupils – the things that excite them and the things that worry them. The play will also deal with some ACE elements. The script is made up from the pupils’ own words combined with modern dance and  ballroom, set to contemporary Welsh music.

Through various workshops and discussions with children at a few primary schools, we’ve had a glimpse of our audience’s worlds and what excites and worries them. The reactions have fed into our original idea, which is to look at the effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACE).
