This new street theater production by Arad Goch re-imagines the history and mythology of Rebecca Riots in a lively and powerful way. Inspired by the Rebecca Riots, the performance will explore the themes of justice, rebellion and the voice of the community.
Created specifically for the Eisteddfod y Garreg Las, the production will bring theater to life on the field, inviting audiences to experience the story up close and first hand. Through physical movement, music and impressive visual images, ‘Beca’n Galw’ will rekindle the spirit of protest in a way that is relevant to Wales today.
The key feature of the project is the collaboration between professional performers and local artists, creating a theatrical experience that reflects the voices and stories of the whole community.
